AmeriSpan offers Internship placements in Canada
CANADA is bordered by the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Alaska, Greenland and the USA. The country’s diverse landscape includes the Arctic tundra of the north, the great wheat lands, the Rocky Mountains to the west, the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence River and Niagara Falls. Canada’s French and British origins have been infused with a mixture of new traditions brought by immigrants from all over the world. The country is divided into ten provinces and three territories with two official languages, English and French.
The work experience program, which is offered in Montreal, gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in French Canadian culture. In Montreal you can experience the dynamics of a bilingual environment, an uncommon situation. The placements available depend on your education and experience. Placements include organizations in the following fields: Community Service, Fundraising, General Office, Museums and Art Galleries.
Please note: Placements are not confirmed ahead of time. Upon arrival in Canada, you will interview with the volunteer coordinators to finalize your placement choice.
Canada Internship Locations:
Montreal
Canada Language Classes:
4 hrs/day group (max 14) French classes. In addition, during first 4 weeks of class, 10 hrs/week internship prep course.
AmeriSpan Tip:
Internships will require at least a High Intermediate level of English and French as both of the languages are used to conduct business in Montreal.
